If you were asking this question honestly, these are for smash burgers on a flattop not for cooking on a grill. Traditional grilling you don't press the burgers because the meat dries out from all the moisture being pressed out and falling down in the grill. On a flattop the juices get pressed out but stay around the burger so that when you release the pressure it soaks it back up almost like a meat sponge.

As someone else said smash burgers are amazing, if you get a chance to have them on a flattop I think you'll enjoy it. They also cook quickly because the meat is pressed thinner

Why would you use a burger press, do you want a dry burger?

I tried using the press on my grill and the meat just went through the grates.

This implement is for a griddle not a conventional grill

Lol this isn't true at all. The whole point is that they're "dry" and crispy diner-style burgers.
