E-On Software's creative software VUE, PlantFactory and the PlanCatalog are not being developed further, and Bentley has decided to make the software free in perpetuity (details on the web page).
No hoops to jump through - just agree to the terms and the software can be downloaded, installed and run. It can be used for commercial work too, but there are some restrictions on selling created catalog content - please read FAQ and T&C.

See wiki for details if you aren't familiar with their products. Here's
E-On Software's YouTube channel [youtube.com] which has many videos including tutorials on how to use the software.

Here are a few old showreels [youtube.com] still up on their YouTube channel.
PlantFactory allows creation of plants, trees etc. which can be placed in virtual environments. Here's a showreel [youtube.com] for that.
VUE + PlantFactory give a lot of control to generate your environment and is typically used by creatives, but given that it's free now it's accessible to everyone. Although GenerativeAI is making it much easier to generate images/videos for casual use instead of having to learn dedicated software.
pretty nifty, op! haven't ever used this, but i do still remember microstation from back in my architecture school* days (when all the autocad licenses were in use on the "public" workstations), and using it to do sections for the laser cutters
Thanks for keeping us updated!

Reminds me of a software from the early PC days called Bryce 3D
Slickdeals is really more intended to be a place where deals are posted, not to do all your research for you. Posts about knives and kitchenware aren't really there to describe what each piece does, it's just letting know so you can go get it if you want it.
