Components most changed/upgraded are RAM, SSD and GPU. All of them can be upgraded in this Dell. Comes with a 4090 and a 1000W PS. Why change power supply? 5600 DDR5 is bad? Just looking at a $2800 Lenovo Tower 7i with same CPU and they use DDR5 5200. Your unsureness on the cooling doesn't instill confidence you know what you're talking about.

This is a tired conversation. You want to build from scratch, feel free. You think there is better pre-builts, then LINK THEM to them if you truly want to help people.

I'm guessing this happened after the last BIOS update but my RAM (Module Part Number: CP32G56C46U5.M16D1) is running at 5600MHz. Reported at the Memory section of the Performance section in Task Manager. It was definitely 5200MHz before.

Anyone else seeing the faster speed after upgrading to 64GB?

This link might help others who are adding additional ram. It seems the timings are possibly being misreported by the system.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Alienwar...de_issues/

Edit: I may have misinterpreted this information. Seems that the Crucial ram is still the way to go.

Yup, I went with the below kit and it at 64GB is still running at 5600 :-) This is what the bios and task manager report as well. Just dont get XMP yet.

I recently tried the H100i Extreme AIO and the bios did not like it on mine. Hope someone figure that out one day as it was a cool AIO.

Finally ready to bite the bullet and get the Crucial RAM. CP2K32G56C46U5 right?

Did you update the BIOS manually?

Correct, CP2K32G56C46U5 in the 64GB configuration. I see now there's a 96GB but hadn't tried that out. I've been downloading the bios manually from Dell and running them myself. I'm on version 2.10.1 and the ram is still running at 5600 MT/s like it should.

Here's a link to the latest BIOS. R16 2.10.1 for Windows 11 [dell.com]
Using Dell's update process is probably just fine too. I just like to run the BIOS updates myself because they are a little more risky.

Good luck!!!

For anyone who has added a hard disk drive, have you had any troubles with recognizing the disk? I had zero problems getting my second SSD drive added, but my disk manager won't even recognize the new 8 TB drive I added. Super frustrating, and hoping a fellow R16 owner can relate and help.
