Isn't that pretty much every brand? I have yet to see a brand that someone doesn't complain about. Dell, Lenovo, asus, hp, etc. Literally every single brand. I follow these laptop posts religiously.

I used the old SD moto...Buy now and think later. Since it's not even in stock yet, I will have time to do my research. Great price if it ships.

Got this over a month ago. Very nice laptop. Antiglare ads a bit of that fuzz, but colors are incredibly accurate. Works really well. Charges fast and holds a charge a long time. Very nice laptop.

The reason why lpddr is not upgradeable is because they are all soldered. There are even ddr4 that are soldered. Some are not, but some are. It has nothing to do with the the memory technology. It's just that it is soldered. If manufacturers have the room in the laptop AND if they wanted to, they would use unsoldered memory or have extra memory slot. I am not sure what exactly you are hoping to change in 5-7 years.

I took same approach - buy now, think later. I have a decent lappy now and wasn't looking to upgrade unless something with 4k screen came along but this price was pretty good - wondering if decent spec'd laptops are coming down in price these days?

Why do you think there's no keyboard backlight? It is listed on the Costco version so I doubt this one lacks a backlit keyboard.
