Ordered the Lenovo think pad below at costco a few days ago. Similar price, this one has less storage but better cpu. Can someone comment if this acer swift is better? I am thinking to return the Costco one and get this one. The Costco one has two year warranty though.

The Acer Swift is the greater laptop. The i7-1355U is much greater, like 25% on average, more effective than the i5-1145G7 on the Lenovo. Additionally, this Acer has the "Intel EVO" certification, which means it has been balanced for efficiency (much LONGER BATTERY LIFE).
I'd say the Acer Swift is definitely worth more than the price they were asking here. Whereas the Lenovo feels on-par for the cost.

Thank you! I just use the laptop for light office work and web browsing, no engineering work. Does the cpu matter much? Two years of warranty from Costco is definitely plus here. Still debating if I should return the Lenovo from Costco.

Personally for me, I would prefer the 14" 16:10 screen than a 13" 16:9 screen. It's up to you what your preference is.

I doubt you will feel a difference in the processor for light office work and web browsing.

One thing I was disappointed to find out was based on 1 review of this laptop, the weight and thickness is different than what is listed, by a small amount but not necessarily noticeable. They measured a weight of 2.9 lbs (instead of 2.76) and 0.73 inch instead of 0.59.

That difference in quoted weight and thickness vs actual is only in that one review though, right? Should we not have seen it mentioned in other reviews if true?

Seems like that to me as well - that this Swift Go is definitely at a very good price, if you got it. I am still looking for reasons to cancel (but not seeing any).

Here's the link:
https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/acer-swift-go-14
Granted it was the oled version with an H processor .

here's a review of the later meteor lake version listing a 2.9 lbs weight:
https://www.pcworld.com/article/2...iew-3.html
It still lists a thickness of 0.59 inch.

To be honest looking at the pictures of the first review, it does look thicker than what a 0.59 inch laptop would suggest.

From my experience, the Costco warranty isn't that special. Don't get me wrong -- I love Costco and their return policy (90 days for electronics vs 30 days for Amazon, but for electronics they don't take items back after that date -- they instead give you additional year of service via the Costco Concierge program. The concierge facilitates the Lenovo service warranty by providing troubleshooting and escalating to Lenovo when necessary. Sounds great, but it's clunky.

When I tried to use it, the Costco "concierge" was so bad that they actually made service way slower (it took multiple reps and requests, and finally an escalation to Costco Corporate before I could finally get authorization to send it in for repair), ultimately being way slower (and worse) than if I had gone direct with my request to Lenovo. I'm not really surprised as I'm pretty sure the Concierge is an offshore call center that likely has incentives to close tickets quickly/ try to deflect as much as possible from going to the service center.

Meanwhile most credit card companies also extend the factory warranty an additional year and are lower hassle to deal with.

I have had hinge problems with both of my 2 in one laptops; HP and Lenovo. I have owned several brands of laptops and hands down Lenovo was the worst. Hinge problem early on just after the one-year mark. Keyboard issues, terrible battery life. I would not buy a 2 in one again or another Lenovo.

Thank you all for your inputs. Based on your inputs, I think this deal is better than the Costco Lenovo deal and I will return the Lenovo to Costco.
