It looks like this model fails a LOT. Huge numbers of complaints about blankets failing in 90 days or less. Both Amazon and Walmart reviews all complain about the same thing.
Darn. It looks nice, but the number of bad reviews is higher than usual for a heated blanket. Still, it's cheap.
As Zeo notes, the WiFi is a risk: The app and pad will probably require direct internet access, probably no LAN/direct control. The app will probably collect usage information. There's no telling when Sunbeam will decide to abandon the servers and app, leaving you with a non-WiFi blanket.

I assume the blanket is the same as you'll want it to warm the mattress.
I'd say get one of the costco ones though. Heated blankets fail 90% of the time by the second or third wash from my experience. Sunbeam, brookstone, etc. The costco one (use to be brookstone, changed brands in the last year) use to go on sale for $25, but it's no hassles to return it if it ever breaks.

I've been using a heated matress pad for years. It's nice to turn the furnace down. No sense in keeping the whole house warm overnight. A great benefit to me personally is that I have really bad joint and back pain and the warmth really helps me to sleep.
Maybe there is WiFi electricity blanket next, no HDMI.
Originally had heated beds on a timers, but a few years ago put in a smart switches.
Very easy to set on/off times, or even temperature dependent.... plus linked to my amazon devices so can use voice control if needed.
For colder months we put on an electric blanket on the human's bed... and used to have it hooked to a smart switch. Had it pre-warm the bed, then turn off. that way it was nice n warm when we went to bed. However.... all the newer blankets are auto-off, and can't be turned on via smart switch.
Maybe this will work?
