I got a pack of these about 6 months ago and they wouldn't work in most things. We used them in electric candles for about 2 months, then they stopped working in those as well. I e-recycled them.
are we still doing eneloop or bust?
Unless they are Made in Japan then they are not made by FDK (the company that makes eneloop, fujitsu, Ladda, etc). However I am not saying Amazon are bad but they are not comparable in quality to those but if they are close then who cares. I will say I have MIJ eneloops, energizer, fujitsu, amazon (old days) and some are going on 10 years strong. I haven't had a MIC Amazon go south yet but they def run higher internal resistance and don't hold charge as well but for non critical apps and the price they are a great value. The Amazon C-cells are def a bust. No where near nominal charge and voltage profile (sag) bad. I use AA w/ adapter which is not ideal, but eh. For the price/quality/nominal charge I favor the Ikea as #1.

EBL, tenergy, any of the other off brands have all had 50% or more failure rate (all MIC). So I will not be buying them again.

I bought some EBL rechargable many years ago and those were crap. Will my ebl charger charge these?
I had decent experience with EBL actually. I'd keep a bunch of them for use in my flashes on wedding shoots. Started failing after a couple years which for the price was totally acceptable.

Yes, the charger should charge these batteries.

Honestly, I have had a pack of these for about two years. Many devices they won't work at all in. And they never hold a charge. Not even when they were new. I have been throwing them out in favor of standard batteries.

Quote from Shawndak07 :
It pretty much contradicts your entire statement. 100mah is an extremely low discharge rate and Energizer only made it to 2000mah.

Yeah I bet the manufacturer would never inflate their numbers lol
I stated the manufacturer rating. The video did not even address that. I also stated that they could only attain that capacity if discharged at a very low rate. 100mA is by no means an extremely low discharge rate. That would drain the battery in about one day. There are many devices that run continuously for months or even years on a single AA.

Never gonna understand why Amazon would have a 10% discount on something that, if it works as it should, you'll not need anymore of them for a decade... And to get the discount you must order by subscribe and save choosing a 1-6 month reorder period. For something like this, they must have 100% cancellation of the subscribe and save order after receipt of the first delivery???

I bought some of these 6 months or so ago during a sale. They were all materially larger in diameter than standard AA batteries so as to preclude there use in quite a few standard items I had intended them for use including some remote controls, laser level, children's toys, etc. Amazon AAA are junk too with high failure rates within 2-3 months of use (for those that weren't doa).

So, the currently sold LADDAs are still made by FDK? (The Eneloop maker)
I'm not sure. The recent ones I purchased are all still made in japan. So I suspect they still are. The AAA dropped to 750mah from 900mah a few years ago? The AA are available in 2450mah and 1900mah varieties.
