Not bad, I myself am thinking about the new M2 iPad Air. Already have a Magic Keyboard and Apple Mouse if needed.

Any thoughts on upgrade from M1 to M2 or M1 to M3? Seems like day to day, no major difference.

Power at 85% with 300 cycles, so considering a bump.

Do it if it meets your needs

There are pretty big differences between iPadOS and MacOS. I wanted to do the same but a lot of apps I need and can't run on an iPad, unfortunately for me

Dont buy this. I bought it with the same spec, and the thing is slow. And I am an IT person. 8 gb ram, and slow ssd is killing it. I wish I had the 16/512 version to test if the slows and lags are because of that.

I have two of these. Not slow at all. Not sure what you are doing on it.

A MacBook air with M2 chip, 8gb of RAM and a 256 ssd is considered slow?! Just curious to know what you would consider "fast" ?!

Unless you are running some heavy editing software or something of that sort, even the M1, 8gb, 256 SSD is more than enough for 87.99% of the population

So it's not the right spec *for you*. I have the 16/512 and it's great. VMs, etc with no issues. Wife does simple office stuff on her 8/256 and it meets her needs. Don't speak for everyone on this. It's plenty fast.

Please learn to read, I said slow SSD, M2 in itself is fine. It's a well documented problem with the base M2 mac air. Larger SSD don't have this problem either

Is that the only one with the slower SSD?

That's why I'm tempted to buy from Costco, 90 day returns in case they announce something big soon.
