They are nearly identical. I've used Expert Gardener (Walmart brand) with good success.

I much prefer the granules though. The water soluble stuff requires regular mixing. With the granules, you just shake them on top of the soil, and then water as normal for months on end.

How does this compare to the big box at Costco? Know I saw it but can't remember the price.

Yes. It is 24-8-16 NPK which is very close to the 4-1-2 ratio recommended for many lawns.

Some lawns will want way more nitrogen (the first number). I'd just buy a big sack of lawn fertilizer if it were me.

Costco carries the 10lb box IIRC for more than double the price of this. Plus this comes in a handy plastic container. This is a very good deal.

I thought this deal was meh at first then I checked other retailers and realized that fertilizer prices have increased by 40% since I last purchased 2 years ago. In for one. Thanks OP.

I was hoping for Amazon to price match (my Walmart+ expired a few days ago), but I am reminded how each retailer has its own unique size of Miracle Grow in this container. Amazon's is 5.5 lbs, and Home Depot's is 4.25 lbs. But FWIW, Home Depot has somewhat price matched at $9.97:

I see free store pickup at my local store. nod

So many WM deals are for shipping only, yet this one is available in store (at least for me).

Agree. Any good deals on the granules ? Osmacote seems to have tripled in price compared to 2 years ago.

You can probably do way better in bulk, but this is inexpensive for a small garden:
