Not specific to this leather Apple band, but the last time I purchased Apple Watch bands from Woot they were fakes.

Amazon doesn't sell fakes . What may have happened is simple return fraud. An Amazon customer buys the real thing and swaps it for a fake inside the packaging so it doesn't even look like it was opened. They return to Amazon and it appears to be unopened. Amazon has a direct relationship with Apple.

The only bands they have for small models are avaialble in large, and vice versa. How many people are going around with small wrists and big watches, and big wrists and small watches? Frustrating I can't just get a M/L and M/L

For what it's worth I've had mine I think 2 or 2.5 years (whenever it came out) and wear it daily without any issues. The only thing I hate about watch bands is they get skin crud on them and if you start scratching it off, on leather, you will find it starts to damage it. If someone has a non damaging way to clean the inside of any leather watch and let me know. Rubber bands disintegrate after a while and break from it too.

i couldnt get this price. one, woot doesnt link from slickdeals on safari. so i search for it on woot. it's $50 and the code doesn't work. i give up.

I wear mine daily, except for doing activities where it would get wet. It has divots on the leather on the inside of the band that give it a rough texture. The outside of the band shows signs of wear, but is otherwise fine.

I have one of these off brand ones. That's the way I'd go. I love it as my wrist is in between sizes for the other bands so they either are super tight or slide all over my arm. I've been tempted to buy the official apple one but for the price of the clones on Amazon I just buy a new one about every 6-8 months

for those that have used the leather bands? how is your experience on cleaning?

i've tried the new nylon one and it just cleaning with detergent hasn't really helped much and just has odors... making me resort to the original bands

The deal is good, the band is not. I have one and the design is awesome and I love the feel. The problem is that while it seems like it will stay tight on the length you set it at, it does not. It takes minutes and you'll notice that the watch is loose.
If you like a loose watch band, you'll love it. On my watches, I want them to have room to move a little, but not go up and down like a bangle every time I move my arm.
