I think it varies somewhat by location but I just had mine done this morning(SE NC) and it was $99.99 before discount. That is up $8 from 2 years ago.

Same, I usually do it in front of my house and my oil pan fits under most of our cars without a jack. If I really need to get it elevated, I just drive one wheel on the curb to get clearance. Usually takes about 20 minutes (most of the time is allowing the oil to drain, otherwise it'd take under 5 minutes).

Beats having crazy overtorqued drain bolt or oil filter. Some will somehow crossthread those things making for an expensive fix.

In for a full Synth. I just hit 10k since the last and my car is yelling at me.

The first and last time I got an oil change here, the mechanic "found" a leak in my fuel tank, even though no fuel had leaked onto the asphalt where we were waiting for 15 minutes. That oil change coupon cost me $500. Ever since then I've done my own oil changes. From my personal experience I would never go back.

Last straw for me was when they used some kind of liquid or flex seal to 'secure' the drain bolt on the Mazda (I couldn't even remove it with an impact driver and I tried using a drive + pipe for more leverage as well as a hammer to tap but kind of hard to do this laying on the ground - only way to break it was getting it under a lift and using a breaker bar which happened after I took it back), and then forgetting to install the cartridge filter on our Rav4 on its last oil change (this was at my prior 'trusted' mechanic too). As mentioned, I had to take the Mazda back to get them to break the bolt off and replace with a new one. The guy used to be great but has gotten way too popular recently so I think he and/or his staff have gotten 'forgetful' the amount of cars they turnover in the shop. Time to find a new mechanic...
