You got lucky. I ordered six of these 12TB drives and two were DOA. They were quickly replaced though, so goharddrive provided good service.
Put refurbished in title…

Edit: Thanks
I've had really good luck with Go hard drive. I would only buy one of these used Enterprise drives from either go hard drives or server parts deals. Out of five drives, none of them have been bad yet. And both of these companies package the drives very well. To me. theres a big difference between these two companies and buying used hard drives in general off of eBay. I've had some horrible experiences buying 4tb used Enterprise drives, over 50% have been junk. But I trust these and the warranty that helps mitigate the risk.

There's a 3.5" enclosure available that works with PS4.

What do people use these large hard drives for? NAS? I know people usually setup Synology servers at home. I currently have a cheap NAS setup with a RPi with OpenMediaVault that doubles as a Plex server. I was thinking about revamping the whole setup with a better PC (mini PC with Intel N100) and larger drives. But I don't know if it makes more sense to have a Synology device. The CPUs on those are weaker so should I buy a mini PC and can I run it alongside the Synology server or should I just get a 2 drive USB docker? Current drive attached to RPi is a 5tb portable WD 2.5" drive.

I want something that can be used to sync my phone's photos and have all my media files for Plex. It should be able to handle 4k transcoding too. Along with file sharing for home network. But I also want some redundancy in place in case a drive fails.
I run my plex server from a QNAP. I started out with synology, but switched because the synology nases are underpowered in comparison. All that stuff you want to do is done easily with either companies products.

I bought 7 last week to expand my true as setup. That said they were $72 when I bought them
So this doesn't look very slick to me.

Bought 4 of these a few months back. They make a lot of noise if they are vertical I noticed. They have been trouble free so far and a great deal.

4K transcoding is usually discouraged, given that a native playback client costs $20 from Walmart. If you have a niche case, such as mobile playback when away from LAN - a duplicated 1080p library is cheaper than a fully capable transcoding box.

I've used a synology, terramaster, and truenas setup - N100 is the current recommended NAS cpu for self builds. If you're only doing plex and intel quick sync from any of the appliance builders(synology, qnap, etc) works. I recommend using the docker container version.

Currently I have a slick priced terramaster f4-423. The OS is meh but I sideloaded truenas. Right now my docker environment runs plex, all the media cataloguing programs I like, a light weight code server for personal one off things, a recipe database, home automation, pihole, and some other things I'm forgetting.

Agreed! I have purchased 12 large drives from them combined and each is working as expected for past several weeks. All drives also tested with 0 bad sectors. The drives are mix of 20 TB and 16TB Seagate Exos drives.

One thing I noticed - GoHardDrives seems to wipe all smart data, ServerPartsDeal wiped some of it but not all - although the Smart info showed garbage data - I read somewhere that Seagate uses non-standard Smart data and you have to use SeaTools to verify.
