I used to get the newest samsung flagship each year, so glad I switched to this. the phone is still as snappy as the day I got it, great battery life and screen. make sure you buy a cover for the camera (ask me how i know lol).
the only android that's a direct competitor is the pixel pro.

When you receive the phone & sim and you're ready to activate, then you can do whatever you want -- port your ph# in, or get a new ph#.
The reason for this: if you order a brand new # from the beginning, they will activate your sim before they mail it, and you will lose a week of service (or however long shipping takes).
If you just want to create another account with a different plan with the black sim and use it in the phone instead, that is even easier as it's just a matter of switching Sims.
Of course, I have no idea if that will affect your capacity to unlock the phone after the one year, unlock after switching the included sim I mean

Any recommendations on camera cover, case, screen protector and the like?
Combing through Slickdeals, it does appear that this is the best deal going right not for Prepaid + bundled service with a decent data allowance (I average about 20GB/m).
I was going to switch my phone to US Mobile in the next week or so - but service alone on that would be $276/yr (prepaid yearly) or $348 ($29/m*12). A great deal compared to what I'm currently paying with Verizon but this is like getting the device as a free bonus and I would think the phone would work on US Mobile in a year after unlock.
For those interested in the data prioritization of the ATT based service vs the Tmobile based service check out this reddit link. Looks like ATT just bumped everyone down a lower tier, so now most MVNOS are in the lowest data tier while Tmobile metro and boost are on the same tier
Q: Since I purchased a phone with the plan, am I required to use the phone a full year?
A: No. However you must activate the phone within 30 days of purchase. After activation is completed, you are free to do whatever you want with the Boost phone. If this account is still active 1 year from now, Boost will unlock the device.
I think you can use any compatible phone once the service is activated on the original device.
I know battery wear is a thing, but it's more of a concern when the battery is abused. Charging to 100%, discharging to 0%, etc. that's going to do more damage than < 80% over time. There's a reason every manufacturer has some kind of charge limit nowadays.
You can use any phone on T-Mobile, always could. I always have unlocked phones on my T-Mobile line. Have a Boost G Stylus 2022 on it.
I had the Edge 2020 with the OG waterfall screen. It was beautiful in person, never seen such a thing. I have used most of the Galaxy phones but that curve was special lol. Idk why curved screens get so much hate, they look nicer.
YES But I don't think This 2023 Edge can be unlocked from say like eBay or other source like I did with the Edge+ 2022 I'm using
