Two larger-than-life heroes, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu are brought together by the hand of fate, or perhaps something more sinister… Live it up in Japan and explore all that Hawaii has to offer in an RPG adventure so big it spans the Pacific.
if you canceled every company that did one single bad thing, you would never buy anything ever again. No company is perfect. This is a good video game
You know you really need to find some new material. Same tired joke over and over.
I am 50+ hours into this game and it's one I look forward to having the alone time to play whenever I can. I can say I'm addicted, I got it a bit cheaper off Amazon recently.. paid $32 after applying coupon. But that's negligible, would absolutely pay $35.
It's a very fun jRPG by Sega. My only complaint is that it's *very* dialogue heavy. I do find myself skipping a lot of the dialogue and cut scenes because of this. But that's easy to do and a minor annoyance. It's not even that the dialogue is bad. The voice talent is great and the cut scenes are great - there's just SO MANY of them that if you don't skip some of it, it's gonna take you 3x as long to progress on the game and my play time is kinda limited.
Definitely one to have in your collection if you like RPGs. The adult elements are fun!

It was worth it for me. Some other guy on here got really mad at me a little while back for saying that Gaiden, while not mandatory, should still be played before this. Lol.
Gaiden is a beat-em-up game like the old Yakuza games, whereas this is turn-based. I greatly prefer turn-based, but Gaiden was still fun.
I had to look up wtf Gaiden was. I really hate how they are changing up the naming of these games so much anymore.
Lol that's why Xbox is doing so crappy this gen, nobody wants to buy games on that console since everybody just wants to get games on gamepass.
I find it interesting how you console elitist expect a 3k PC gaming experience for the measly $500 you spend on a console. I'm a gamer and I own it all, but if I wanted to game on a budget, Microsoft wins hands down. The quality of Gamepass is ridiculous. I wonder how you Sony Simps would act if it was Sony Gamepass instead.
Facts. Microsoft has trained their customer base to not buy games and then their fans wonder why studios like Tango and Arkane get shut down.
Hold on. So Sony hasn't had any closures? You Fanatics come here to always tell a half baked narrative. Maybe if you had games to play on your console, you wouldn't be here complaining about the other guy. I'm gonna go back to play Ghost of Tsushima on my ROG Ally... Later.

lmao. I own both, but I'm legit happy pretty soon I'll be able to buy MS games on my PS5. Might just sell my series X if they go the way of Sega.

Yeah. The naming has gotten ridiculous. "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name" is an absurd title and changing the name of a series that has been well known for nearly 20 years is a pretty big marketing sin. They could have easily stuck with, "Yakuza: Like a Dragon 2" for this game and they should have named Gaiden something like, "Yakuza: The Man Who Erased His Name."

Agreed. I think keeping the Yakuza title for games of that style and like a dragon for the turn based style would have been the way to go.

Yes or so I found online looking. Surprising there's no discussion on that. $5 less more slick
