For anyone wondering, it fits in the Tesla MY Sub trunk very well but not perfectly. It does protrude maybe 0.5in for the 30quart and of course the 23qt definitely fits

How many solar panels would I need to run this thing? Can I assume I can plug this straight off a solar panel array?

Depends on the solar panels/setup, but given that it claims (and reviewers have confirmed) that it only takes 44-60 watts, it wouldn't take much

Do you have the newer model y that runs off a 16v battery or the older 12v?

edit: NVM, irrelevant because the fridge supports 12V/24V

I'm not well versed in refrigerator tech, but is this supposed to be better than the popular BougeRV (also advertised as compressors) options in the sub $200 range?

Don't you have to have a little room for the fan to blow hot air out? Just my 2 cents.

I have the bougee rv version and it says it takes 45watts. So a single 100watt should be plenty and get a battery

This isn't really a great deal. The Newair 48qt cooler which can run off battery and solar is $199 and has wheels and a handle for portability. I bought mine last year at the Newair website.
