Decent if you need the tool now, otherwise wait for it to be $200 in a kit (w/ battery & charger) again

overkill unless you're removing lug nuts off combines or tractors.

I use DCF891B which is cheaper, lighter and removes my Model Y lug nuts just fine.

I agree. I bought the DCF900 for $180 cash about 6m ago, would have gone with the 891B if not. It's absurd how fast everything comes off with this thing.

My 900 ft/lbs breakaway air impact living in the Midwest begs to differ that 1400 ft/lbs breakaway is overkill.

Lug nuts and Model Y. Ok

I bought this when it was around $160 (full kit) once upon a time and it has help a lot. Especially on those rusty bolts. I highly recommend if you do a lot of auto work. At this price if you need it get it or just wait. But then again the future is not guaranteed.

Not my frequently used tool, but a VERY useful tool when working on my car such as wheel well area when removing the larger strut bolts or engine mounts where bolts are deep down in the bay, most that require a tremendous amount of elbow grease and very long wrenches and extensions. When you are removing a bunch of high torque bolts 150-200 ft/lbs or more, this tool saved my back and a lot of pain and time.

Oh and yes, removes car lug nuts just fine for me as well, easily. If anyone is curious, the Dewalt DCF885 impact drill did not remove tire lug nuts for me, even if the spec says it should.

Love this tool. Used to change wheel bearings and suspension on a 4runner. Zips lugs off like they're nothing. Can take off with car lifted.

Not if you are in a rust belt I needed every bit of this for a rear differential, but it's huge and heavy but expected

Yes, even my older gen 20V Dewalt that's "only" 1200 ft/lbs has not been able to remove some rusted bolts. I have that and a mid level 450ft/lb 3/8" one. It's crazy how many times a bolt/nut wouldn't even flinch at 450ft/lbs and then 1200 ft/lbs breaks it free as soon as I pull the trigger 😂

is this a troll post? or are you really that clueless? you know there are other parts of a car that may require an impact, right?
