Just a quick note - the thunderbolt is ONLY available if you upgrade to the 4070 - which is $1699. might want to note that.
*300 nits, not 500.
Good price for the specs, but I do not trust G series thermals. Maybe someone can chime in and say this one is good, but last G7 i7 2070 RTX I had ran so hot it would just throttle to the point where it would just turn the discrete GPU off.

Isn't that weird? Does Dell use 2 different system boards or do they artificially change the port to USB 3.2 Gen 2 just because you didn't buy the more expensive GPU? The GPU should have nothing to do with whether a port is TB4 or USB3, should it?
If you need that cpu, but more games nowadays actually based more on gpu.
The CPU is what's attracting me, but according to this review[youtu.be] this dell is the "lowest multicore score from any i9 13th gen HX laptop tested so far" from fluctuating power levels? That's disappointing as it fits the bill for my use aside from that.
Edit: Reddit has figured out the power fluctuation issue. I'm in. $899 w/ amex extended warranty works for me.

has been using last gen G15 with 3060 for 3 years, yes it is hot but nothing crazy, runs perfect fine. also bought the G16 deal last week.
In mobile form, the 4070 is not much of an upgrade over the 4060. You really need to go to a mobile 4080 for a significant performance difference but that is not "a little extra". People assume the 4070 splits the difference between the 4060 and 4080 but it's nothing close to that.
