Do NOT buy this dongle. It _still_ does not have a working driver for the chipset that it uses and is forced to use Windows compatibility mode driver which does not even allow for Bluetooth 4.0 features and specs.I got conned into buying this thing a year ago and had to replace it with a TP-Link dongle a month later when I realized this thing wasn't working as the Bluetooth 5.3 capable dongle it was advertised as.

The first two are Windows PCs only and the last one can be used with PS4/PS5, speakers, and PCs but not a TV unfortunately.

Check under device manager and see which driver Windows chose to install it with. I guarantee it's using the old Windows Bluetooth compatibility mode driver because that's the only available driver that works with this chipset, and that's why it was dropping all the time. I had the exact same issue. To release a "5.3" Bluetooth capable dongle without a working driver to actually power the chipset is a freaking con job.... Which apparently is still working, since this thing was front-paged. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

No. Assuming you want to hear the TV on your BT headphones, if it's a newer TV, it may already have Bluetooth built-in. Check the settings.
If it doesn't, you'll need to extract the audio. Either you TV has an analog output (RCA pair or 3.5mm headphone jack) or a digital output (Optical TOSlink, RCA) or HDMI ARC. Then get some BT transmitter and maybe an adapter if needed. Not fun.

I bought the long range version with the antenna back in February. I primarily use it to connect my BT headphones (Bose QC35) to my desktop. I stopped using the BT dongle because the sound keeps dropping every few mins. It's annoying. I sit 2 feet away from the dongle. I went back to my old BT 5.0 dongle and it's been solid. Maybe my headphones are too old.

It's the wireless signal interference when you have too many wireless devices in a tight space. I had to do a signal scan and changed my router band.

Found this one with 5.4 and also works for PS, XBOX for a couples $$$ more.

If you're not making calls from a long distance will the long range adapters improve range to stream music since the devices are just receiving and not sending data, or will there still be some that just won't work that far from the source?

TV doesnt have the driver or app to use the blue tooth. If you want to send audio from tv to other bt device, you may want an audio port to bluetooth adapter.

No, you need a Bluetooth transmitter to add Bluetooth audio to a receiver.
