I never played roguelikes or metroidvanias before, I hated the concept of them, but after getting Apple Arcade I tried Dead Cells and got hooked and couldn't stop playing for over a month. Now if you actually enjoy the genre I can't imagine that you'll be disappointed

This is the hardest game I ever played. Took a while to beat the spoiler boss. Hollow Knight is easy walk compared to this game, so as Demon's Souls, Hades.
Just get ready for that.
Once you get hooked up - you won't be able to stop. It is truly amazing.

I'm going through that experience right now, heh. I just bought Dead Cells with this deal and started getting a lot of great weapons and power ups and then bam, dead! It really hurt but I was hooked. The game is hard, but not in a cheap way. I am really liking it.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't beaten hades or hollow knight yet lol. Probably best to hold off on this for now

This is ok but I don't think I would pay this price for it. Same for Hollow Knight. I don't enjoy the "die and start over" mechanics.

Reminds me of the arcade days, but much more fair. All games have a die and start over mechanics don't they? It kinda cool to have a great day and beat a game in an hour. Most rogue likes or rogue lites I find quite rewarding to beat if or when my time comes.

Personally I didn't find Dead Cells as hard as most of the Souls games. There are certain builds that really make Dead Cells easier. If you are having trouble in the game, try one of the Turret builds.
