I'll never pay $1k for a chair, but those StaplesMax chairs for $150 and under are crap and technology has little to do with that argument. $300 is a genuine entry price for getting something that starts to resemble quality.

Got this chair back in 2020 for around the same price when I started working from home. Absolutely love the chair and haven't had any issues with it so far.

I have three of these chairs that I bought before the pandemic for $120 during black friday sale. I also own 3 Staples Hyken chairs as well that I bought for $100 each. I am not a heavy person and they all feel the same to me. I think $200 may be reasonable price since it feels slightly more sturdy than Hyken. $600 MSRP for this one is a joke.

I don't like the all mesh trend. It's basically a cheese grater for clothes. We don't need more plastic microparticles in the air every time you sit down or shift around.

Yeah I don't get mesh either, my last chair had padding and leather for not much more than an "entry" level price, it seems like they can charge more for less material this way.

Mesh is mostly for men. The private part of men does better in lower temperature. So mesh provides more ventilation. Google it up. I am not a doctor. I just saw this somewhere.

I found a coupon on the Office Depot coupon page for a free $40 prepaid virtual Visa card with a $200 purchase. Used that instead of the code for the $25 prepaid card (wasn't able to use both).

Not sure if this was targeted so YMMV.

Worked for me! Thanks! It's a great chair. This will be my second one.

Damn wish I saw this comment. I just picked up one of my orders but with the 25gc.

You think Office Depot will price adjust it tomorrow. I got the other one shipping Friday.

Willing to give this a try. Up until now the best chair I've had was a $100 gaming chair I got on Amazon a few years ago and it's already falling apart. Want to try something better. Got the $40 GC (thanks devo666) and used a coupon code for 20% back in bonus rewards, plus went through a CB portal.

I hope I like the chair. I don't usually spend so much on something like this but figured it might be worth it since I'm working from home. If I don't like it I guess I could just return it.

Anyone know a longer shock that fits? I have one of these my wife uses now. In for a new one if I can raise it a few inches.

The other main downside for me is that if your office is cold a mesh chair will keep you freezing. You're basically on another planet if the other people in your office have chairs that actually keep their occupant's body heat in.

Took me forever to figure out why I was constantly cold while everyone else seemed to be doing okay.

I see no effect to my clothes and I no longer get hot sitting in my all mesh chair. It offers me the most comfort in a computer chair that I can sit in all day.

"plastic microparticles" ya ok lol, I am not worried about my chair using mesh fabric.

This is also made in China? WorkPro is a Chinese brand. I was just going to say that Chinese brands have come a long way. Then I saw your post ...
'cheap Chinese' is just a shorthand for the absolute garbage tier quality and price of products you will find on Temu, Aliexpress, and lettersoup brands on Amazon like CHINPOW and LINCIL which are probably brands they made up. I'm exaggerating but it's annoying, especially when it's rated highly and "featured" on a post. Sometimes it someone genuinely trying to help I can concur.

Also WorkPro, I didn't even realize did do chairs. Never saw a post about these guys before on chairs, just on manual labor work kind of things, not just "work". I also don't think too highly of them in the tools department either. Glad I read through the comments praising this chair though.
