I did not use King's or Sporty's ground course, but I would easily recommend either. I decided to complete the ground school before my flight training (which was an excellent idea), but no instructor would sign off for my exam, so I had to go to the FAA FSDO to get the authorization. They gave me a mini-test of sorts and were finally satisfied that I was ready for the ground exam.

I think the King course included an "instructor sign-off" from the Kings, as I had no trouble taking the instrument written after using the King instrument course. I would suggest asking if the Sporty's course includes the instructor sign-off.

EDIT: The price is good, as you can learn at your own pace without paying the instructor by the hour for time not in the air.

Great point. Sporty's addresses this in their list of 10 reasons why to choose Sporty's course..

"2. Get your written test endorsement When you complete the course, we'll give you the flight instructor endorsement to take the written test—instantly! You can take this endorsement to the FAA testing center, and log it in your ForeFlight logbook. It's complete preparation for the FAA Knowledge Test."
