Only supports apple watches, limiting their pool. Yeah, no.
Beware! Visible lost my phone number on port in. They also refused to pay out my sign up incentive gift card. Their support is done exclusively through Facebook messenger and a different person replies to each message. If you ever get escalated to level 2, they will email you one time from a no-reply email and you will have to start over every time with level 1 to reply.

The service is fine if it's working, but if something goes wrong you're gonna have a bad time getting it resolved. Only port in if you're okay risking losing your phone number, or are okay wasting 10+ hours getting it back if it happens.
Where I live, Verizon service is amazing. My parents have it no issue. (visible uses verizon towers)a

I recently signed up in February 2024 for their regular plan at $20. And wow, you can barely websurf or Reddit with the throttled and deprioritized speeds. Streaming videos is painful with lots of buffering. Constantly have 4G service and not 5GLTE with Tellos or GoogleFi

But I rarely venture out and I'm usually at home with Wifi so I don't notice. Call quality leaves lots to be desired, lots of static sometimes. Other person can't hear me. and I get $5 off my fios bill and unlimited talk, text, and data. But the service isn't great and the customer service is literally non existent. Outsourced to some other country.

Never had such bad service from a provider as I have with visible. Ymmw is definitely what it is with this service. uS mobile in my area very good along with Verizon, visible never got about 1 mbps at any time in my area in florida contacted support many times, used several different phones iphones and android and all never went above 1mbps. 25 bucks I get 35gb of high speed data at 750 mbps or so on US mobile.

it comes down to a $2 monthly discount from their regular price of 35 (its always on sale at 35)
and you have to lock in for a year. THANKS BUT NO.
I would consider it if they had decent internet, but i could never get more than 40mbps when i was using them. meanwhile Metrobytmobile gives me about 400mbps and googlefi about 500mps.
also, visible's connection is supper unreliable, i never knew if i was going to have an internet signal when i needed it.

I had Visible before they released these plans and increased the rates. That change caused us to have zero service. CSR said it was being fixed and tried several things over multiple days, but never restored service. The issue was documented all over Reddit. Needless to say, after 10 days of no service, we switched back to Verizon because Visible simply doesn't compare in reliability. I was definitely more than patient with them in the switch to the new plans but 10 days without service was a huge problem.

Just wanted to thank everyone for keeping the feedback real on here. Super helpful given i am going to be porting a couple of lines soon and have been going back and forth between US Mobile (Verizon) and Visible. Had a few more questions of my own. Apologies in advance if these belong on another thread.

Question - Is US Mobile (probably going with their standard annual plan for $276 a line) better than Visible when it comes to a) port experience b) customer service c) bandwidth throttling when network is congested d) overall call quality and e) network coverage.

Yep, dealt with the same issue. It took 2 weeks to resolve. Many hours spent on the phone with their support levels. I found the magical person that resolved it in 30 minutes after many could not.

I have 2 lines for the kids with US Mobile on their light plan ($6/mo with annual payment) and I'm satisfied so far.

You get to choose between T-Mobile or Verizon network (AT&T on the way) and they can internally port you between them without a plan change if you want to switch. Can't speak to port experience, but customer service has been good and they're also extremely responsive on their Reddit sub (their CEO posts regularly too). Data has been OK, but they're deprioritized similarly to other MVNOs so you may see issues in heavily congested areas. Their "unlimited" plans get throttled down to something like 1mbps after the high speed data allotment which is something to be aware of.

FYI for folks: Apple watch plan can only have the same number as your primary. You cant have a different number for the apple watch. I wanted to use it on my wife's watch and they said it cant be done.
Duh it's linked to your phone… that's how watch plans work.

I used to have the service and then I switched to Mint Mobile , boy do I regret it.
This is as good as it gets when it comes to reliability.

use their trial if you can, was going to sign up recently but surprisingly in my area it had worse connection than mint. this is going to be specific to your area so worth finding out before committing to a year
Only downside is trial is not for the plus service so don't get an accurate representation of the service. It was unusable for me. I have signed up for 1 month of plus to test out and plus is usable and good speeds although not as fast as T-Mobile download. Upload is faster though

Stick with US Mobile. They have network priority on Verizon, actual CS reps (not bots), ability to switch between T-Mobile & Verizon on-demand, multiple plan options, and better Android support.

I was a happy user of Visible for almost four years. Quite a deal for $25 month *including all taxes and junk fees*. Until ...

I decided to port my landline (actually VoIP) number to Visible. This is a little bit more complicated than mobile to mobile, so the carrier has to do it right. Ooma released the number right away and it was transferred to Verizon, but Visible didn't provision it in their system.

Their customer support is insane, as it has no provision for maintaining progress on a ticket. Every chat in must start from the beginning. I engaged with them 17 times over three weeks and every call was the same. Half an hour to arrive at the same place as before, only to be told they guarantee it would be done in the next 24 hours. They blamed Ooma, of course, but I pointed out that when you called the number, it announced that it was on Verizon's network. I said "just call it!". They said they had no facilities for placing a phone call. Every chat was torturing with most of waiting for them to type was to have a bot say "We are very sorry you are having this problem," .. wait 5 minutes ... "I will do the needful to get it resolved", ... wait 5 minutes .. "Your satisfaction is our priority", etc.

Got visible+ for $35/month for two years. Switching to this only saves $25/yr. Which is only $2 a month. Any savings and great, but I think I'll pass on switching to this annual plan.
