So looked online said my local (Massachusetts) Home Depot had 4 and that they were $90. But on the site if you click on See Price Below or See in store Clearance price it shows $30. I scanned it at a scanner and it came up $30. When I went to the register it scanned at $90. I spoke to a manager and she said, ryobi and Home Depot must have discounted and didnt notify the store. She discounted it for me at the register. Great score.

The app said $30 but the manager wouldnt honor it (he even checked the SKU matched first). The excuse was that the app was wrong and the store scanned price is the correct one.

App set to the store you were in? They only implemented the clearance price on web/app recently, but I haven't see a discrepancy between that and store price yet.

So I went looking for this at the store that had three in stock. They couldn't find them and wouldn't let me climb the ladder to check shelves. I did find the PVC and PEX cutter is on clearance for 25.01 and grabbed the only one they had.

Found two in my store (48307) in the clearance section. Snagged one and it rang up at $90. Politely referenced the app, showed it to the cashier who after getting a manager and a few rounds of triple checking the in-store price of $30.03, on multiple devices including their store-issued ones, happily honored the price. Slick!!! 🙌

Brickseek is only as reliable as the inventory reported by the retailer. Probably varies from HD to HD and with some retailers (like Walmart) BS doesn't know some inventory is already allocated to online orders yet the retailer reports it as available at the same time.

If I were you I'd take BS price and base stock off of HD's website for 'pickup' at that exact store.
