I have the kobalt branded one. I love it and don't need ear protection.
I have replaced every gas tool with 80v. It's crazy how "clean" they are. I'll never understand why this or the snowblower would have a head light though 😆

It really depends on how long the grass is. In the growing season like now, if I mow once every two weeks, it can easily eat up 6ah. My lawn is about 5k-6k sqft also.

One complaint that I have is that if I didn't empty the bag often, so much of the mulch will fall off on the lawn in chunks. I have to run over the whole lawn one more time to vacuum

Get a second battery or lower your expectations. I've had to charge after cutting the front b4 doing the back b4 I got more batteries.

Might jump on this. Don't mind that it's a push mower. Have been using a push battery powered Echo branded mower for 5-6 years but one of its two batteries died and one is not enough since it only lasts for like 30 minutes.

Any reason why I shouldn't pull the trigger?

I bit it's amazon, and I can return if not as expected. Also I don't need self propelled with a 5600 sf lot.

I'm also looking at this. Did you decide or learn anything? This (80v*4ah) cuts up to a half of an acre which sounds pretty good, but runtime is up to 40 minutes? Something doesn't make sense. Wait a minute, in the description, it says up to 60 minutes but one of the photos says 40 min. My yard is an 1/8th of an acre which takes 45-60 minutes, which has bushes, trees and nooks & crannies to maneuver around.

EDIT: I ordered one. Always used a gas push mower until now.

I have about 5k sq feet to mow and it uses roughly 2Ah each time.

Good luck returning a used lawn mower to amazon. If I buy one I'll buy it from costco.

I also have the Kobalt 80v .....however I couldn't live without self propelled, 1.15 acre lot though completely flat.

last year's slickdeal was 2 bats (2.5ah) with a quick charger.....battery is always ready to go.

$299 and self with two bats

OK. Thanks. If I can't cut an 1/8th of an acre when it says you can cut a 1/2 acre, it may go back. Maybe they mean it can cut 1/2 acre while jogging and cutting air and/or the highest setting.Big Grin

Cutting half an acre in 40 minutes? Why does that sound unrealistic?

I have owned the 19in version of this for 3 years now. Got it off Woot w. a 4ah+2ah battery for $200 and love it. That said, the batteries are starting to go. Wondering if it's worth paying up for the extra 2 inches and a fresh battery...

I own a 23'' version, it's great product and worked well over the years. Solid metal body, reliable battery, locally made(NC). It's a no brainer
Edit: got mine for ~280 from greenworks site using coupon.
If u do get this(or any other battery mower), set ur deck to the tallest height first pass.
In the long term, don't go too low. Instead mow often, like every other week. Tall grass 'crowd out' the unwanted stuff.
