I recently did the Japanese key activate on Japanese account thing and it still works but the price on that went up to $13. Search Spider-Man 2 JP PS5 CD Key on Google for the listing.

I recently did the Japanese key activate on Japanese account thing and it still works but the price on that went up to $13. Search Spider-Man 2 JP PS5 CD Key on Google for the listing.

I bought it from cdkeys about 3 weeks ago. 100%-ed it (all sidequests, unlocked all abilities/costumes).

Enjoy the gameplay and sidequest varieties.
Like how completing each set of sidequests unlocks an extra side mission or something.
Combat is as frantic as ever.
Lots of throwbacks to previous games.

Didn't like the parry mechanic much. Feels counter to how I imagine spiderman would fight.
Costumes is purely cosmetics now so its less interesting even if there's tons of them. At least you can unlocked Bodega Cat very early.

The parry mechanic was useless. I beat the game without ever really using it

Also, I wish the suits still held different capabilities, rather than having everything available in the skill tree eventually.

No, the keys are region locked. You make a Japanese account and redeem the key, then you can switch to your American account and it's like you're playing the American version pretty much. Just remember the date of birth you put in the Japanese account since that's what they use to verify for example if you forget your password, etc.

Got super lucky last time this deal was around and was able to get the game for $9 buying an asian code and then making a dummy asian account on the ps5 to claim it. Maybe there is somebody more knowledgeable who tracks these things who can chime in if there are any more insane deals like 2 weeks ago.

Did it a couple of months ago for $4. So easy, highly recommended. Ps5deals reddit has a post on how to do it also

I made a Japan account redeemed it and was able to play it on my us account as well. You just have to have both accounts on the ps5. It works I got it for less than ten I remember.

Meaning you would be "game sharing" with that Japanese account and have to set that account to primary on the system correct?

If you plan on game sharing with a friend/family member anytime soon, I would advise not to do this. You're only allowed to use the game sharing method with one other person.

Probably. I only have one PS5 with a lot of accounts from different regions so I haven't had problems sharing the accounts on that same machine, but I don't share my accounts across other systems.
