Do your bags not close all the way when compressed? Did you have to send pics in?
It's not the lightest compression cube (123.5grams) vs others but the quality and especially the zippers have held up when we have stuffed the cube to the absolute max. There's a lot of peace of mind for us when we don't have to baby our equipment.
I'm able to fit 3 t-shirts, 1 Pair of trousers, 1 pair of gym shorts, 1 khaki shorts, 1 thin and light sweater, 1 rainjacket, 3 pair of socks, and 4 boxers. I wear size small which helps as I'm just as tall as Minion Bob.
I will note however that my red polyester sports shirt did "dye" the white fabric as in there is permanently stains on the nylon now but it's a cosmetic issue and I have since removed the red shirt from my attire mainly as the shirt would keep washing out color and I didn't want it to stain my other clothes. Just something to note.
I had paid $27.20 back in Feb '23 just for the Medium Cube so the fact the Sm Cube comes along for only $5 + tax more is a really good deal for the quality you'll be getting. Any questions feel free to ask!

advantages:

2. you can shrink / let air out for super-compactness
2. you can pack extra on the side in case you decide to re-org later
3. clear so you can see what's inside (TSA friendly)
4. comes in various sizes
5. also works with elecronics (extra batteries, chargers, cables, etc)
6. water-resistant (island-hopping friendly)
7. can be re-purposed later for food/bottles for liquids / etc
for clothes you don't want wrinkled, use those plastics that came with your pillows/bedsheets :-) or oversized ziplocks.
You're missing the organization part. I use more than a cube
