Not a bad price considering millet, the bs filler of bird seed, is third down in ingredient order. Prefer to have it further down, but a little better than some.

You have no idea what you are talking about - millet is great bird food (unlike milo), my chipping sparrows and goldfinches eat only millet and nothing else. I would buy a 20-50 lb bag of millet without any other seeds, but I can't find it at a reasonable price. It is recommended by Audubon Society: "Bad mixed seed has lots of filler in it—junk seeds that most birds won't eat. Bad mixed seed can include dyed seed meant for pet birds, wheat, and some forms of red milo that only birds in the Desert Southwest seem to eat." Good mixed seed, he says, "has a large amount of sunflower seed, cracked corn, white proso millet, and perhaps some peanut hearts."
It is also the main ingredient in mixes for small pet birds like parakeets, zebra finches, etc.
They don't show that they carry any bird food on their website.
I've been buying bird food from them for years, and it's consistently available in the store. It might not be listed on their website now, but you should still be able to find it in person.
I just bought this from Amazon[amazon.com] yesterday (delivered Same Day), along with a feeder pole and some bird food (not the stuff in this deal, though).
Works well and is a good value. The easy retractable lid was the seller for me.
That's a good bird feeder that you suggested I have a couple of those and they're pretty nice. I bought mine at Walmart they were a little cheaper than the price Amazon wants but it would be okay if you find what you want.
Any suggestions on a feeder? Doesn't have to be squirrel resistant.
Thank you.
What I did was as a suggestion to you is I took 4-in thin PVC pipe the cheap one and I cut it to the length I wanted for the bird feeder pole with the hook and I took my Dremel and cut a line straight down and then opened it up a little bit and put it on the metal shepherd hook for the bird feeder The squirrels can't climb it and they can't jump high enough they slide down like fireman they give up after a bit.
Yeah, but that's 80% sunflower seeds, 20% yellow millet. At least this has some variety.
Yup nothing wrong with millet but it just mostly attracts rock pigeons and also it get stuck in small weep holes and other places making it a pain to clean the feeders

Not the same 50lb item referred to earlier but more regional food for the birds where we live.
It is also the main ingredient in mixes for small pet birds like parakeets, zebra finches, etc.
