And there are actually more than 20 reviews about it leaking.

Also doesn't bother to say what kind of plastic it is, and that it's not BPA free…so it's very likely to be toxic and def not a plastic I would use. Alcohol would leach chemicals into it easily.

Many other options out there to go with.

rest assured that the health effects of any possible leaching from plastic are many orders of magnitude smaller than the negative health effects from alcohol.

It leaks when you remove the rubber piece completely, thus removing the waterproofing. Someone in the reviews expands on it.

I picked one up 12.10.23 for $4.73, and not a drop of whiskey has leaked after a few adventures

Yeah, Tritan (IIRC) is what Nalgenes used before the media freaked out about BPAs and nearly killed the company. Edit: they used Lexan with BPA; Tritan is the current Nalgene material.

In this case, whatever delicious neurotoxin you're consuming is probably a much bigger issue than the minor long-term effects of BPA (whose issue usually occur only with long-term storage and leaching). Forest, trees, etc

Google is your friend. Tritan is BPA free according to Eastman (the manufacturer) and Nalgene bottle are mostly made of Tritan according to Nalgene.
