Note that if you do not currently have GamePass Ultimate, the GamePass Core to GamePass Ultimate conversion trick (step-by-step instructions here, with some additional context here) will still beat this pricing even with 12-month Core codes purchased at full price, as the trick will get you 24 months of GamePass Ultimate for $179.97, or about $7.50 a month.
Also note that the usual trick of using a VPN to redeem cheaper international GamePass codes is significantly less lucrative now, per this article from Eurogamer. [eurogamer.net]
If not, then I might have to bulk load another 12 months via these codes.

1. Make sure you don't have any game pass ultimate time on your account (either it is expired, or you have never had game pass ultimate before)
2. Buy the (3) 12-month Game Pass Core codes from Newegg
3. Redeem all three codes (you will now have Game Pass Core until 2027)
4. Buy a non-stackable 1-month Game Pass Ultimate code (I used Eneba and it was around $2.50)
5. Redeem the 1-month code and it will convert your 3 years Game Pass Core to 2 years (+ 1 month for the Ultimate code) Game Pass Ultimate
IMPORTANT: First of all you CANNOT have any game pass Core/ultimate time left on your account to get year 3 i.e all fully expired.

Step 3. Now that I'm on India VPN connection. Simply goto redeem.microsoft.com on your browser. Login into your xbox account. You will likely get a security challenge as you're now logging in from another country. I had to confirm an email link that microsoft emailed me, if you login twice it will force you to add your us phone number where it will text you (happened to me on my second login attempt).
Step 4: Paste in the 25-character India Gamepass code. There is 3 year limit so if you have even 1 day left on your xbox live/gamepass it won't let you redeem the 3rd year as that will take you over 3 years. Hence the warning at the top.

The other method ($49x3 at Newegg + $2.50 @ eneba) is around $150 for two years.
I think the savings of $52 and change with your deal is pretty cool BUT needs a play by play rundown for how to accomplish it to get that $97 two year ultimate 🤜🤛 (because once you went vpn to India I was pretty much done and spending the extra $52 😆).

Went back on xbox usa and converted it to 2 years of Gamepass Ultimate.
For anyone to pay $105 for 1 year of Gamepass Ultimate and call it a slick deal is hilarious. This site can't seriously be calling that a FP deal?
Just get international codes on Eneba, use a vpn and stack you account. Then convert.
I can get 2 years for $83 vs for $210 this deal. I can't see how that FP?.
Sure, MS placed 13 month limits for certain countries, but even those are still way cheaper than this deal. Even if you extend 13 months for those limited countries and convert and get 9months. It is still cheaper than this.
Maybe Microsoft will add more countries to the limit list at some point, but for me that will be an issue in May 2026. I'll be glad to report back another country that wasn't on the list at that time.

You are talking apples and oranges. What you described only works for expired or new accounts. Yet, the price you talk about will work for non-expired, current accounts.
You can't have it both ways.
I don't mind paying $18-$24 more a year not to have to deal with Eneba. Their checkout with all the unclicking of extra fees just makes the whole place icky.
Some of us don't buy their watches out of the trucks of cars.

I was able to get 25 months (2 years plus one month) of Xbox game pass ultimate for $91 total.
I started with an account with an expired subscription. (No current subscription to game pass ultimate)
I downloaded (on my phone) express vpn app and signed up for the one week free trial. I changed my location to India VPN.
I went to G2A website and purchased 3 x 12 month Xbox game pass core (India) codes, totaling $89
I logged into my Microsoft account on redeem.microsoft.com while on the India VPN and redeemed all codes for 3 years of game pass core. I now had a game pass core subscription with an expiration date of May 12 2027.
I then switched off VPN and refreshed my Microsoft account. It said my game pass ultimate subscription was expired and that I could get a 14 day trial for $1. I got the 14 day trial after which it said my current core subscription will be converted to ultimate with an expiration date of May 30 2026. Click ok. Boom I had game pass ultimate expiring May 30 2026. I then went and turned off recurring billing.
Don't forget to cancel the express vpn subscription also.
