I wonder if this is how they will force their price hike. You add a line, they change up your main plan and then bam price hiked.

We need a new line for our son, and when I put our google voice number in to port, it says it is eligible.

When we get the phone and call to have the line ported, can they then say it wasn't eligible?

It seems like a decent deal since we need a new line anyway (though a free line woulc be a better deal).

F T-Mobile. I traded in a brand new iPhone 11 that I just got from metro at the store. I was in a rush and didn't read the trade in paper. She put the condition in as water damage..wtf? How did she know that when she told me everything was good to go? Now, I'm crap out of luck for the promo deal. I told them I'm cancelling and going to at$t. They gave me $300 credit. It's still not enough, so I'm leaving next week.

Go to the store and speak to the manager. Show them the receipt. If that doesn't work try talking to tforce

Unfortunately, you deal with Authorized Dealer, not T-Mobile directly, and actually, it's your fault not reading before confirmation.

My suggestion is going to the store, talk to the manager to pull out transaction to see what they can do. However, I don't think they can do much about it.

Not sure about the upgrade process. I was able to get this deal by adding a new line and porting in a Google Voice number.
Hi, I was able to see the deal but it shows the new line cost on SimpleChoice is $25, which is $10 SC and SC 6GB Data & SMHS for $15.00/mo. Did you see the same thing? Can the add-on $15 be canceled? I heard the $10 SC doesn't include any data like the existing lines, is that true?

you should be able to remove the data. I have done it several times over the years, call them. If you get an overseas rep, hang up and call until you get a US based rep or go through T-force
Thank you so much for the reply! That is reassuring. I am gonna pull the trigger. I had bad experience with oversee rep too, wasted hours and it looks like they are trained differently. By the way, what is T-force? Just in case the phone call doesn't work.

Also, what might be the best time to remove the $15 add-on? After receiving the device and porting-in the number?

Thanks!

Did you pay $3 to release the Google voice number?

Got a phone for my daughter with porting the Google voice number:

To transfer your number, we need three things. Bring them to a T‑Mobile store, or call us to start the process.

1. Valid ID
2. Account number for your previous wireless account
3. PIN or passcode for the account

What do I tell them for #2 and #3 when the new phone is here? Appreciate any help.

T-Force is Tmo customer service on Twitter. They have always been competent and helpful. You should be able to remove it right after your line is active, maybe wait one day.

In case it helps you or anyone else (I just transferred my # successfully!), the account number is just the Google Voice phone number you're transferring and the transfer PIN is whatever PIN you set up for your voicemail in your Google Voice settings. Note that you may need to turn off the option that forwards your voicemails to your email so you can set a PIN -- you'll need it to perform the transfer because T-Mo needs a PIN of some kind, per usual carrier protocol. You also need to pay Google $3 to unlock your number, if you haven't done that step already (also in your settings). Hope this helps!

Also, how to portin a number when you are opening a new line?
