If you're interested in something and it's not rare, discontinued, or an extreme deal you might be better off waiting for other sales during the year since MF / GC also appear to be doing the 10% off thing, and you might be able to stack the discounts during special sales.
The MI market is saturated right now. Companies overproduced during covid then demand dried up and they've been forced to cancel orders and cut their inflated prices. Better deals can probably be had if you're patient.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find another deal on a Custom Shop for nearly 40% off.
IMO, Fender CS guitars are overpriced at MSRP, but at 3.5k it's more align with their worth. Good deal!
