Safe on rubber and probably the best stuff you can buy for those brake caliper slide pins. I'll admit, I wasn't convinced at first that Sil Glyde was better on slide pins than Permatex Extreme, but after watching this YouTube video from a mechanic I follow…. I final decided to buy a canister of the stuff (and this is the best price per oz I've seen).

I personally use the Sil-glyde (a small tube that I've had forever), but I'm sure that your Ford branded slide-pin grease will be just fine as well.

I wonder if it's the same stuff as their regular lubricant just in different packaging? Regardless, it has a lot of different uses.
