Apparently the 6ghz performance is close to the top 6e routers but the 2.5ghz and 5ghz performance is not great.
Here's an in depth review about the device: https://dongknows.com/linksys-mr7...er-review/
Note that this is the MR75MS not the MR7500. But apparently the only thing missing is the USB 3.0 port, so if you don't use that it's effectively the same router.

Yeah it's a similar take to most other reviews. Some of the points are no longer relevant though, such as wifi 6e clients not being available or the price (it's a rip off at $500 but for $100 it's a good deal for what you get). I mean, the RAXE500 is definitely better but it's still selling for $600.

Looks like the 2.4/5ghz radios are absolutely garbage. Too bad. I'm looking for a nice AX router for under $100 that also has 6e to future proof. https://www.smallnetbuilder.com/w...-reviewed/

It's a cheap way to add 6e if you already have a good 2.4ghz and 5 ghz setup.
There are a few openwrt dev threads on supporting ipq60xx based routers like this without any definitive support working.

I've used this for more than 2 years. I have one as my main router, and another upstairs as wired backhaul. Justs as an aside, I also have 3 linksys wireless mesh nodes throughout the house. The wired backhaul is made possible though the use of a moca adapter. It's been a great thing to not have to try to drill and fish cat 5 cable.

I have 2 of these as well; one upstairs and one down. I have 4 velop nodes in my house. I've never had any issues.
