Please stay away from the Mirai. The hydrogen/H2 fuel costs $36/kg. The $15K fuel card they will give is good for 25K miles. It'll cost ~$180 to fill up, which is good for ~300 miles. I'm part of a telegram group of Mirai owners. Many there cannot get near to 400 miles advertised range, no matter how hard they try. People in SolCal have to deal with unreliable H2 stations. People in SF just had their only 3 local stations closed permanently.

First trip with my plugin yesterday - 40 miles entirely on EV. A lot of reviewers got 2500+ miles on two tanks of gas, depends how you drive it. Most of my drives are around 20-40 miles so I'll be saving a ton in gas.

Was looking at these and the closest Mitsubishi dealers are 18 miles from me. I may be spoiled but most of the dealers are within 5 miles. Seem to have a limited service network if needed.

Loaner vehicles are dealer specific. Car value wise, these things do not hold. They're best as a buy and drive 'til the wheels fall off kind of vehicle. I've bought three in Savannah GA and they were partnered with a Volvo dealer so they gave all the Volvo service perks which was nice. All 3 went well into 160k+ miles with regular maintenance. We each one them due to accidents (total loss); each one protected my family and I from some terrible crashes. I'd rate them as adequate and reliable vehicles but nothing special compared to your more popular brands.
Glad you and yours are safe.

Japanese do the best manufacturing there is. But only is real Japanese people are working the line, and in japan

even though this is a rogue rebadge, its a good thing that it comes with normally aspirated 2.5l 4 cylinder engine instead of the unreliable/unproven 1.5l 3 cylinder turbo on the rogue. the 3 cylinder engine is under probe by nhtsa for premature failures.

5yr/60k warranty is also a plus.

It may be irrelevant here, but need to vent. I first time rented EV, Chevrolet Bolt 2023 with 18k miles only and have been extremely disappointed with the use of its electric juice. Basically, be prepared to charge it everyday and finding a charging station is in itself challenging even if you are forgiving on 1+ hour of wasted time it to be charged just to 80%. If you use heat, and soon AC, then may God be with you because you will be running to charging station every half day and will cost a lot more than gas.

With that said, if anyone knows hybrid used car they recommend for heavy work use, list here your opinion and experience
1) completely irrelevant here.
2) I rented a bolt last July and drove mixed 250 miles over a long weekend in western PA including plenty of highway and had easily had 75 miles of range left.
3) only rent an EV if you don't need to recharge it. Period.
4) Ford Escape hybrid first gen. Bulletproof. Will easily go to 300k miles. But hard to find one under 100k miles now.

I would be wary of any plug in....notwithstanding the environmental damage to the land and the pollution to rivers sea and the food chain..
Anyone buying a plug in should look at the Child labor and damage being done in the Congo..The health consequences is/are catastrophic...
Get a Toyota Hybrid small battery small carbon footprint!
True, but I'm sure if we looked at your buying habits there's plenty of pollution and child labor in those products. Nobody in America is innocent unless they are a Luddite.

The car can sense it and force you to use the gas engine.

I thought Mitsubishi was bankrupt years ago.
Makes sense since this appears to be just a rebadged Nissan Rogue.

Get a Mazda CX-5 for the same price. It's made in Japan, has a very reliable engine and transmission, and has all the bells and whistles for the same price.
