This is a non-locking, slip joint folding knife that is getting some good reviews for having some features of more modern style pocket knives. I'm seeing it listed >$40 on a lot of websites, $47 on the Gerber website, and at $16 shipped it is a slick deal. The D2 semi-stainless tool steel is a very nice upgrade from the 7Cr17MoV gerber loves to use, and the blade has a scandi grind which should make it very slicey. D2 holds an edge really well, takes a bit more to sharpen, but is not fully stainless. I would not use a knife in D2 for food prep unless I washed and oiled it afterwards, but it's a great EDC blade steel. I really like Marcita scales and these are available in green and tan. This is a nice option for locales where locking knives are illegal. As always, know your local knife laws [akti.org] and be safe.
