I stopped buying the Hanes cheap socks after they'd develop holes in my heel within less than a year. I've had lot better success with Adidas.

Looks like the "Double Tough" in either 6-12 or 12+ is the same price as the "Max Cushioned". Wonder how they compare to the latest iteration of "Kirkland"?

I've been buying those for the family, who seems happy with them, but I haven't needed to break out a new pair for myself yet - I wait until the holes are too big to ignore.

I've had it with socks only available in those two size groupings. Because I fall on the top end of the smaller size group. Hence after some washing and drying the socks are too short. While the large group is too loose. Having the breakpoint at 12 means size 11 is often too short, they should offer more size groupings. (end rant)

I suppose I'm just not picky enough about socks - which is why I wait until the holes get big enough, and I'm happy to double them up when wearing boots - but I'm a big fan of ranting about consumer products. I don't understand ankle-height socks - are you a cheerleader, and who do you think cares about looking at your ankles? With dark-colored socks being a necessary evil, can't we just wear gray all the time?
