Just wanted to add while this is the best deal so far for trading in S8 Ultra, the difference between the two is minimal.

The main change is the chipset which is more efficient so you are potentially looking at slightly better battery life but most other things are very minor. One benefit of this "upgrade" is that you get a fresh 1 year warranty. Now, whether $200 is enough to justify the improved processing and battery along with a new 1-year warranty is up to you.

For me, it is not worth it.

I upgraded from s8u to s9u in November (trade-in was $700 then). I should have just kept the 8... I've seen no meaningful benefit to the upgrade. Also, battery life is down significantly... same usage patterns with both units. S8u would run for 2-2.5 days between charges. S9 barely lasts a day (usually down to 18-20% by night).

I agree, but also the fact that this does not include the keyboard case like the S8 Ultra did when I purchased it is another factor for me as well.

If I can get the S9 Ultra for a total of $650. Will that be better than paying $225 for the Lenovo 11 Pro Gen 2? I really only want to watch Netflix, listen to music, and read books.

Yes and no. Just the back camera cutout won't align perfectly. If you're ok with that corner not being flush, or take a blaze and cut it yourself so it sits flush but might look a bit janky then the keyboard part will work just fine
