If you're looking for a tandem kayak for recreational use - Aquaglide Chelan 155 Inflatable Kayak is a good option. It can carry up to 600 pounds, is collapsible into a backpack and is durable enough for light touring or expeditions - meaning it's great for lakes/rivers AND mild whitewater or light surf.

Even though it's inflatable, I've always felt very safe when kayaking for 2+ hours in this.

    Decent kayak, but a higher quality inflatable that's self bailing and a higher payload(900lbs) is the Saturn Ocean Pro. Effing beast at 14' with drop stitch floor, 1,100 Dtex PVC, twin skegs (removable for white water, lots of D-rings and importer direct at $649., but add for seats of your choice.
