And hopefully your story is true. If it is, I'm glad you find the right companion.
Don't know how Ego customer service is, but if you need to call Greenworks, expect it to take multiple hours on hold to talk to someone.
I never see a grass cutting service used an electric mower.
A person at home can simply charge the battery when they are done. An electric motor just starts, first try every time; they are significantly lighter and more maneuver; and there is no need to winterize. Not to mention, no more going to fill up the mower only to find the gas can is empty and then having to make a trip to the gas station. I used gas for years and resisted going to electric until this year and I am kicking myself for waiting for so long. The advantages of electric tools far outweigh the disadvantages for most households.

I have three batteries, one 5ah primary for the mower and then I have two 2.5ah batteries I think they are as I also have the blower and string trimmer. Mower is fine, but the string trimmer and blower is never ever going back to gas on no matter what size yard I have. Super nice and I like the power head load on the trimmer a ton. I will say the blower really chews through a battery quick though. Mower virtually always makes it through my whole yard, but I have had to swap a smaller one in to finish the yard a few times. When especially tall or thick it can use the whole thing but with my other two it's easy to swap out and finish up. Overall I would certainly buy Ego again.

hopefully it works out - so sick of ethanol making my spring times frustrating.

With a regular mowing, 4Ah battery can usually do the job.
Even my little Hart 40V mower can do half the lawn on a battery.
I can't imagine a 7.5Ah battery couldn't do your yard, but I of course don't know the specifics.
That said, a second battery is always good because you can charge one while you're string trimming, or if you get more battery tools to use in the ecosystem.
Gas is still great, don't mean to try swaying you. Just providing another data point.
