Not a well reviewed site. But I have not had any issues in past.

use 20% off link on site banner to get deal.

Looks like this was shared a few years back. Same chair - about the same price. Some reports of damaged chairs. FYI. Dice roll - but that is the life of a slick dealer!

Just FYI, or for others, it has a 7 year warranty.

I've been using one for about 3 years. Last week the base split where the gas lift sits (probably what happened to you as well). I called them and now a new base, gas lift and chair base (everything between the wheels and seat) is on its way to me. After 3 years of daily use I think that's incredible for a $100-150 chair.

I wouldn't compare it to Herman Miller, or even something like a Quantum 9000, but I think it's the best you can get unless you spend around $300 or find a hell of a deal. Keep in mind Dexley is designed for big/tall people. Hyken is the same chair but smaller.
I just threw mine away after... 4 years of use because the piston went through the base. Heavy use as a work at home user. It's a comfortable chair at a fraction of the price of a Herman miller. Big fan of the mesh. That being said I upgraded to a used Herman Miller and won't be looking back
Just arrived and assembled. Damn the box was heavier than I remembered. Thought maybe something changed - but then lifted my old chair (same chair) - and it is just as heavy.

What a great well-built chair.

You will have no regrets - solid well built chair. Box looked mint - no damage to contents inside.

Its no "Herman Miller" --- but definitely close... maybe a Sherman Schiller?

I bought the Dexley and the Hyken. The Hyken is better at promoting proper posture and the seat cups your body (if that makes sense). The dexleys seating position is too relaxed and doesn't naturally promote an upright seating position which lead to slouching. I've been dealing with lower back pain and work remote in front of a screen for 8 hours a day and I think the Hyken is the better purchase. One caviat is that it's better for shorter ppl (I'm 5'8) - if you're taller you'll need to remove the headrest

Would this be good for a 6' 5" person or no?

It's a neck rest not a head rest

I took a chance on it as well. Lets see when/if it arrives.

EDIT: Just arrived, easy to assemble and new with no visible flaws or defects. I'm often hesitant to buy from a new site, but I'd say both the seller and the chair were worth it.

I've bought from Quill in the past. Reliable.

I see bases for sale on Amazon... Maybe you can get a new base and salvage the chair vs toss?

Not sure sizes and compatibility however. Worth a shot?

The problem is trying to get the piston out of the base. I have a couple of chairs with that issue and I can't hammer those things out. The pistons are pretty much touching the floor.

I have this chair...1 month after getting it the gas cylinder started leaking so the chair only sits in lowest position. Not one I'd recommend based on that.

Sitting in one now, purchased 5+ yrs ago, and yes, they honor the warranty. Originally had the base crack and the vinyl split on the armrests, which they replaced, and eventually the seat gave way (I'm well under the weight limit). That time they just shipped me a new chair.
Bought here as well, never seen it this low. Good, basic chair.

Is there a similar well rated chair with a foam seat base? I find the mesh uncomfortable

You can get a separate seat cushion on Amazon. The mesh chairs are very sturdy. Chairs that have a seat cushion already installed flatten out over time. You can't replace those cushions and often times those chairs are made from fake leather that flakes and gets all over the floor. I recommend getting a small pillow for the lower back too. You'll have really nice ergonomics.

I'm 5'11" and with the flipped headrest mod, the Hyken works great for me. But I agree, anyone over 6' should either try out the Dexley or Hyken without the head rest.
FYI this is a good gaming chair.
