I've been using one for about 3 years. Last week the base split where the gas lift sits (probably what happened to you as well). I called them and now a new base, gas lift and chair base (everything between the wheels and seat) is on its way to me. After 3 years of daily use I think that's incredible for a $100-150 chair.
I wouldn't compare it to Herman Miller, or even something like a Quantum 9000, but I think it's the best you can get unless you spend around $300 or find a hell of a deal. Keep in mind Dexley is designed for big/tall people. Hyken is the same chair but smaller.
What a great well-built chair.
You will have no regrets - solid well built chair. Box looked mint - no damage to contents inside.
Its no "Herman Miller" --- but definitely close... maybe a Sherman Schiller?

It's a neck rest not a head rest

EDIT: Just arrived, easy to assemble and new with no visible flaws or defects. I'm often hesitant to buy from a new site, but I'd say both the seller and the chair were worth it.

I've bought from Quill in the past. Reliable.
Not sure sizes and compatibility however. Worth a shot?
The problem is trying to get the piston out of the base. I have a couple of chairs with that issue and I can't hammer those things out. The pistons are pretty much touching the floor.
Sorry, by "new" I meant new to me.
Bought here as well, never seen it this low. Good, basic chair.
You can get a separate seat cushion on Amazon. The mesh chairs are very sturdy. Chairs that have a seat cushion already installed flatten out over time. You can't replace those cushions and often times those chairs are made from fake leather that flakes and gets all over the floor. I recommend getting a small pillow for the lower back too. You'll have really nice ergonomics.

FYI this is a good gaming chair.
