Edit: I went ahead and bought this, seems like a good deal and I really want the 14 so I can have the SOS capabilities.

This is about $340 cheaper than buying a new one, super tempted. Someone convince me to/not-to get this. I have an iPhone XR that is nearing the end of its life

there is no difference on service improvement between esim or physical sim but let me tell you i had both and i switched from esim to physical sim even i paid $15 for conversion. Having physical sim is a big plus if you travel outside of USA because not every country supports esim second once i changed my phone and spectrum required me to give them my ssn, my drive license so they can verify that its me and activate my phone which took 72 hours. its all fun but not so when you have to deal with this crap.

Not everyone lives exclusively in the states. There are some nomads out here and e-sim is a rarity outside of the states.
