Was looking for a deal on Hart weed eaters and came across this. 40% off other factory blemished Hart tools as well. Usually there is $15 shipping, but use FREEHIP at checkout and you get free shipping.
I have the 40v hart string trimmer, 40v atlas (hft), and the 80v atlas (hft) trimmer. I don't think I'd waste my time with a 20v trimmer unless you only have 1 or 2 trees to trim the grass around.
The 40v hart does ok for light grass, but is hindered by only having 1 string. The 40v atlas does better with 2 strings. I would recommend them for the needs of the average home owner.
The 80v atlas (I think it maybe greenworks rebadged for hft) hogs down grass and small brush like crazy. I used it to cut a walking path for the city ~1 mile through over grown prairie grass (had to recharge several times even with 3 batteries). Hogged through it.
(the city wouldn't let us use gas tools for liability reasons. was a boy scout project)
I have this. The battery lasts about ~20 mins. I use it to "mow" my small backyard. Pretty light and convenient. Trimming and edging is great also.
I did "upgrade" the string to thicker 0.08"(?) string and it's even better. When you run out of the starter string, just buy the thicker string. It's about the same price.

I've got the Hart 40v brushless trimmer with double strings and it does a great job. Chops through anything and has enough charge to easily last an entire day of use. I agree with the 20v trimmer though they're good only for very light duty stuff

Thanks - I actually just got mine today was surprised by the fast shipping. Definitely a light weight trimmer, not really meant for much more than light duty stuff, but for $40 can't beat it. I do wish it had 2 strings, but good idea on the the thicker string!
