About the Show- Royal Pains is a medical comedy-drama television series. This series stars Mark Feuerstein as a young doctor who, after being wrongly blamed for an important patient's death, moves to The Hamptons and becomes a reluctant concierge doctor to the rich and famous.

Glad it keeps Riptide's wife busy, but good thing I can give my wife good bang for the buck for less than $30!
It was a fantasy type show. Cool doctor who gets fired for doing the "right" thing and gets to take care of rich folks and gets a taste of the uber rich life but hey he's actually closer to us normal folk because he doesn't actually own that "guest" house in the Hamptons, he's just there and isn't stuck up like the rich guys.
It's a feel good kind of show that relied on a lot of TV cliches and repetitive story arcs, which is what made it kind of boring after a season. Cast was good. Especially Henry Winkler as the dad.
I honestly only checked it out because it started airing around the time Monk and Psych were on TV on USA Network. While none of the USA Network shows were what people would call high brow entertainment, they were solid easy going shows. This was in that category but lacked something those other two shows had.
