Do I need an injector to use this? Probably injector is not the right term. The ones which construction folks use to push the caulk out.

9 inch caulking guns (fits 10 oz tubes). Basic ones start from $3.24~$5 at Walmart, Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowe's etc.

How long could I store these unused? Have a project I need to start but might be a few months.

Usually 1-2 years beyond the date on the canister. Stored in controlled climate helps.

This is on sale because most users tend to prefer clear or white, gray is not the most common desired color placed around home windows/doors if the gray color doesn't matter to you it's a pretty good deal considering they'll keep for a bit.

Best thing I've found is those rubber/latex caps. I've tried plastic caps, plastic wraps, screws, nails, etc

On the first use, cut the tip shorter than normal (if you can). When done, take out of caulking gun to release pressure. Put Saran Wrap around the entire tip; the "Press 'n Seal" type works best. Press firmly to seal. Wrap some tape around that. Store.

When you go to reuse it, unwrap, cut off a bit of the tip. Try to fish out any hardened caulk with a paperclip or a really expensive screwdriver (e.g., Wera). Just kidding on that one.

Seriously, works great. That wrap saves paintbrushes too (dont trim though) .

I've had decent luck with a large wire nut. Nothing is perfect, but this helps.
