Managed to get the last 77" C3 at my store (display model) w/ 5 year warranty for $1,239.31+tax. Thanks for the heads-up!

EDIT: the signage said $1,449 including 5 year warranty, but when I asked a supervisor about the price and she looked it up, it came up at the $1,239.31 price.

I looked at hoover earlier but only had the display. Will a different location match this price? Did you originally buy it at the Hoover location?

Not sure about different locations matching. The customer rep at Hoover did ask if it was purchased at the same store originally so it may make a difference. Before I did this, I had an online rep say that if you could a provide "friend's proof of purchase for the $1,4999 price", they would credit the $500 difference, but that may be YMMV since reps arent all the same.

To your other question: I originally bought it at the same location on May 8th when the $1,999 deal / 5 year was posted. I thought it was a good deal, but the $1,499 was slick, and I'm glad I saw this thread when I did.

It was a PITA to get out of the the store and into the SUV solo loool.

Thanks. Did you see any remaining tv boxes when you price matched it?
Something is terribly wrong with Sam's Club if they sell it much cheaper in very few stores. Or may be when only "display model" left they change the price to clearance.

No, I didn't check, but I was there a few days ago and did not see any. There are about 5 65" LG C3s though when I looked over my shoulder today. I'm sure they'll hit $999 soon.

My 65" C8 has burn in from a red news banner. It's not noticeable all of the time, but still disappointing. I'm not sure how many hours I have on her but I'm sure it's on up there. That being said, still planning to buy an OLED for my next set. Prior to the C8, I had a 55" LED Sammy that dimmed and quit after about 5 years of even less usage. Seems like a crap shoot to me either way.
