Yes you have to get a phone and a line for Metro and then you can add a tablet for 20 bucks. there are free options for the phone, you have to pay $65 for one month of service, so you end up with a phone and a tablet for $85.

Note that the 128gb also gets 8gb RAM vs 4gb in the 64gb model. Well worth the extra $50.

Isn't everyone and their mothers already have a $20 A9+ courtesy of Metro?

A thing I tried on Samsung site(did for s24 and a9+), chat with customer support and ask if they can offer any discounts. I got additional $55 discount for A9+(no other offers or trade-in though). They create a checkout link(samsung) and you must buy it through the link(samsung) to honor their offer.

I'm no apple fan and don't own any. However , android has lagged long enough, they caught up with phones 5+ years ago, but when you can snag iPad Air with M1 for $399 and you still need to pay as much PLUS trade in of an expensive tablet, android tablets are a joke. If price didn't factor, I love my Tab S9 OLED, but I paid $90 for it. Id love another one , but don't feel like plunking down nearly $500 for one, plus it's not even as easy as forking over the cash, it's the whole Samsung trade-in game. Don't feel like playing it, then it's a laggy tablet which are NOT fun, even just for emails or Netflix.

Heck, the iPad 9th Gen is now $250 and blows this out of the water. If it weren't for iPhone , I'd jump. I just can't stand using iPhone.

Might just introduce some apple in my life with iPads. I've held out for a decade, but apple has really trashed iPad pricing, despite headlines saying new iPads can top out at $2000+. Performance wise for 99% users, same experience with an iPad of $400 or $2400.

Do I have to go with the $65 plan? Or I can choose a cheaper plan? There are $45 and $55 plans. Thanks

Too bad its not even IPS, but a pretty nice one to get over the Lenovo M10s and Xiaomi Redmi SE if you care more about performance and updates than screen quality.

Yes, I returned it. Even swiping down to get to the brightness menu was sometimes laggy despite having no apps open. That said, nice display for the price point, and it was a firm, well assembled tablet. But I don't understand the point of a high refresh rate when the processor can't support it.

Super laggy tablet.
Get the 8GB RAM version. it is a much better performer and a lot less laggy especially with Ram plus off. I believe Ram plus comes turned on by default. I suggest you turn it off.

With that said, I'll probably stay away from the 4GB version regardless..

Slim on the display's pixel density? Viewing angles? Multi-tasking capabilities?

I think the issue with Metro $20 A9+ is it comes with too much bloatware, which makes the experience super laggy. I need to do a deep clean to eliminate most junk apps (including Samsung's) for a smooth experience.

Although I think the stock 64GB A9+ will not be that bad compared to the Metro version. I still believe it will be laggy since Samsung also pre-installed some junk apps.

Conclusion: buy the 8GB RAM version or go with Metro deal (or skip this tablet)

You can either disable or remove the bloatware. And out of box, assuming you don't insert the SIM card, it will be identical to a normal WiFi model. But once you insert the SIM card, it will be install the carrier related junk and the boot up splash screen

Blackview mega 1 is the new benchmark for price/performance. Its a wonderful tablet to use. The screen is better than what many higher priced tablets have

This is true, with OLED and 120hz screen and way better CPU and 6gb of RAM. But Lenovo software sucks and it's not optimized like Samsungs.
Oled isnt really a benefit for those who like to leave their screens on a lot
