Have the same one with ice and water in the door, rather have the ice and water and two ice makers than the knock knock who is there 👍

Avoid LG fridges like the plague.

Is it the one with horrible linear compressor or with just bad one?

From the warranty at https://www.lg.com/us/support/pro...6S.ASTCNA0

"Compressor (Linear/Inverter): 10 years Parts & 5 years Labor."

From the FAQs: "The LG LLFGC2706S model has a Smart Inverter Compressor that adjusts the motor speed for the perfect cooling level, while previous models had a Linear Compressor..."

So it sounds like a linear compressor, but version 2.

This one doesn't have the infamous linear compresser

My LG french door from 2012 still running fine. I guess I'm one of the few lucky ones.

Have this same fridge without Instaview. Works fine, very spacious.

If you need a counter depth fridge that's not tiny then LG or Samsung are your only options. GE, Whirlpool, Bosch, Kenmore... Whoever you think is more reliable doesn't make one. They don't exist.

This one also does not have the notoriously bad linear compressor and doesn't have known maintenance issues.

This is a good price and is maybe only beat by LG's "buy X appliances, save Y" deals which depend on bundling multiple products.

My electric company pays to get old refrigerators. Check before you pay!

.
This is incorrect. Bosch has counter-depth models in both 500 and 800 series. Kitchen Aid, GE make them too.

They will be 2X-3X more expensive than this one though.

I think TenseHamster's point was that their cabinet depth models don't have nearly the same inside space. This LG has 26.5 cu ft compared to the Bosch 500 w/ 21.6 and 800 w/ 21.

Right. This fridge is larger than some standard depth models. Other non-korean brands don't come close. We've previously owned a Whirlpool counter-depth (so yes, I'm aware this is a standard feature that exists) which was great but the LG makes it look like a toy.

No exaggeration, if I shifted some stuff around we could store 8 gallons of milk *in the doors* alone. If the compressor and electrics are the tradeoff for massive capacity then so be it. You have a fridge mounted in the counter, you need lots of space... It's this or the similar Samsung model.

I have a 2008 LG fridge, it is by far the worst I've ever had. It started with the system board failure they had to issue a recall. Later most of the plastic shelving parts broke. And now the door seal magnets weakened to the point that when I close one half door, the other one will pop open.
Maybe they have improved, but I'm not taking chances.
