I've been using Amazon high capacity rechargeables for a couple years. All of them still work. The only issue is that they are a bit tight in some small battery compartments. They must be a little bigger than most other batteries.

High capacity ones can hold 20% more charge and are a bit more expensive, but it also states that they can withstand 400 cycles vs 1000 cycles for regular ones.
Both advertise 5 year storage shelf life. Is that only for precharge or overall battery lifetime?
Any downsides of getting high capacity ones other than price? I highly doubt that any of us will ever come close to pushing 400 cycles out of a AA battery.
Half of my Amazon High Capacity 2400 mAh came dead at zero volts. Once charged again, the zero volt ones self discharge within a month.
I guess 2400 mAh are harder to manufacture right. My normal Amazon 2000 mAh AA and 800 mAh HC AAA works perfectly.
