There's no way to know ahead of time. So, my rule is that I don't buy any PS games unless I am ready to play them right now. If it's going to be a backlog title, I hold off until I'm ready because there's a good chance it'll show up on ps+.

Almost as if Sony is intentionally nudging customers into the higher priced subscription tiers...

At least 2 solid titles and 1 garbage (AEW). An ok month.

However, I find I get more out Premier/Extra catalog and don't get as excited about monthly games as I did. More interested in Plus subscription deals or PSN gift card deals to extend my subscription.

Was streaming Oblivion (PS3) on PS5 last night through service and played flawless.

Very valid points & I agree.

Since PlayStation does not have competition any more each month on their regular monthly lineup/offers, they seem to be slacking in this department.

However, they make it up in their monthly Game/Classic/PS VR2 catalog/games Embarrassment

Same. Ever since they upped the yearly subscription price to roughly 80(just to play online mind you).
I won't lie like the last few months have had some good titles but if a Netflix subscription is all I get extra, I'm seriously considering making PC "my main thang"

At best there are predictions, which aren't usually accurate and more like "this is what I would like". I think at best we find out a good week in advance direct from Sony. It's the luck of the draw, and you got the short stick this time.

Ridiculous that EA play isn't included in any of the sub tiers like it is on xbox

I thought only folks that bought a new PS5 or VR2 headset were eligible for the free Netflix. Did I miss something?

Honestly, I very rarely buy old games now for this very reason. The only games I buy now are the brand new ones that I KNOW won't be given away free for at least a couple years (Hogwarts, Jedi, etc.). Otherwise my catalog of PS+ free games is so big now I can always find something interesting to play.

Yeah I know. It's just a d*ck move to offer it on sale knowing full well that'll it'll be free soon.

Same, after the $30/yr PlayStation plus days were gone, I was doing the subscription extension with a combination of discounted subscription sales + discounted GC sales. I honestly am not using the online functionality nor the games as much these days, but if the cost is low enough, I just get it. Like with the switch, the family plan allows up to eight people, so the yearly cost is negligible - I'm barely going online there as well. And for my Xbox, I did the VPN hack to get the game pass ultimate for $33/yr for 3 years. But once that runs out, unless there's some other way to get it really cheap, I don't plan to renew.

I don't care how shit the AEW game is. If I can set Luke Perry's kid on fire with a flame thrower like this past weekend I'll be happy.

You want your five star matches? Your 30 minute classics? Not me!
