Nothing for lapsed PS+ subscribers. I will remain lapsed.

I recently let my premium expire. 130$ was a crazy price to subscribe, and you won't even own the games. I started buying used and game deals.

Not sure which deal you're asking about, but the OP is pretty detailed in calling out what is for new members and what is for current members, I would read it and if you still have questions which detail you are confused on would help.

I've been waiting on getting a PS5 until my son was old enough.. looking at it now. Question is.. get this or wait for the pro later in the year?
It doesn't sound like y'all are a heavy/serious gaming household, but that's obviously an assumption. I would say that if you are then the Pro should be an excellent machine, but also there will not be any deals or discounts on the Pro for a pretty good while.

To me, this is a really solid deal overall if you're a Netflix subscriber where you could see the savings manifest, otherwise it's only decent, but still better than you'll likely see from the Pro for a good while.

What does sharing mean? If I log into both with the same PSN account and profile can I use both at the same time? Will it log me out when I use the other one? If I declare one of them as my main, wouldn't the second PS5 still buy games on the same account?
If you set ps5 #1 as your main ps5, you can share your library with any profile logged into ps5 #1, even if you yourself are logged into ps5 #2. You can even play the same game. You cannot be logged into two ps5 at the same time.

There's no Dolby Vision support on the PS5, apparently. I was going to get this to use a 4K disc player, but now I don't think it's worth it.
Pretty sure they do now?

Yep, not heavy gaming. Probably going to be FIFA mainly Big Grin

I get netlfix through my tmobile plan so not sure that's a big selling point, although I could bank the credit until tmobile decided to cancel that benefit I suppose.

I was able to get a digital PS5 for $365 out the door (red card and employee discount). Not bad. Just need NCAAF and Madden and I will be set for a while.

I do and absolutely love a few of the titles. Resident evil VR graphics are great and it feels so badass racking your pistol and popping heads. Plus they released VR mode 100% free for a few games in the series if you already own the regular game.

Synth riders is like beat saber (most popular VR title ever) but even better imo.

Walkabout mini golf has tons of levels and the physics are on point.

You can get 6 free psvr2 games starting next week listed here.

https://www.roadtovr.com/psvr-day...ames-2024/

I've played most of them and it's pretty much the best starter pack you could ask for.

All that being said, it looks like sony has pretty much abandoned psvr2 and I haven't seen any more first party titles in development from them. There is rumor of PC support coming which would breath some life into it but there's nothing definitive on it.
Great info. Thanks. I just bought it. Smilie

Unfortunately if you have the top tier of PS+ you can't buy the discounted middle tier, very dumb...

For Playstation plus, does that mean truly new accounts or would expired accounts (not current) also apply?
I'm pretty sure it's just not active accounts.

The GOW Ragnorak Launch Edition is for PS4, not PS5, that's why it's $10 cheaper.

Absolutely about Netflix, if you already got or want premium that's $275 in savings.

To confirm, you thought if you subbed to a service that amounts to $5 a month you would get a service that costs $22 a month?

So can i join playstaion plus today for a 1 month subscription and still get the 12 months of netflix if i buy a ps5?
That's how I'm reading it, sure. Honestly, with how much you are paying for the one month it wouldn't be bad to just get the year. You don't get a discount on the one or three month.
